Holidaymakers travelling from the UK to Europe will have to pay up for a visa from next year. The new system will affect all Britons aged from 18 to 70 who want to visit EU nations.
Under the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), Britons will need the visa if they are travelling in Europe for less than 90 days during a 180-day period, reports The Sun.
The ETIAS is required if travelling to any European country by plane, boat or car. And it is also needed even if the passenger is only transiting through Europe to another country.
