Pay Rs 4,600 crore to DAMEPL in 2 months: HC to Delhi Metro

New Delhi DAMEPL DMRC HC Delhi Metro Rail Corporation

NEW DELHI: Underlining that an arbitral award can’t be allowed to remain a “paper award”, the Delhi high court on Thursday directed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to pay over Rs 4,600 crore of arbitral award along with interest to Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL) in two equal instalments in two months.

The court said the first and second instalments shall be paid on or before April 30 and May 31, respectively, this year.
