Paulo Dybala breaks silence with ‘best club’ claim amid Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham links

Paulo Dybala has claimed that he will pick the “best club” for him this summer as the forward is set to leave Juventus as a free agent. With the 28-year-old set to move, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been linked.

The Argentina international has spent seven-years with the Bianconeri since making the move from Palermo back in 2015. In that time, he has made 293 appearances, scoring 115 and assisting 45 goals across all competitions.

After plenty of talks over a new contract, an agreement between Dybala and Juventus couldn’t be reached, leading to the announcement of his departure. Tottenham were the first side to be linked, having reportedly agreed a move for the forward some years ago, before it fell through.

Acquiring the 28-year-old would also fit in with Spurs’ current transfer model under Fabio Paratici, who has managed to sign a number of Serie A stars to help improve the squad. However, they were shortly joined by north London rivals Arsenal, who are on the lookout for a new striker or two.

The Gunners struggled to take their chances all season, with none of their centre-forwards taking the mantle as the main goalscorer. With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to leave too, their reported pursuit of Dybala joins a long list of other names.

Finally in the London trio there’s Chelsea, who have equally struggled to find a reliable goalscorer. Romelu Lukaku has struggled since his return from Inter Milan last summer, though he’s not the only one in the front line that has failed to hit the heights.

It has led to all three clubs being in the hat for Dybala, who has recently broken his silence on his exit. Speaking with Sky Sports, he said: “I’ve not decided yet [his next club]. I will be in Spain tomorrow, then it will be time for holidays… I’ll pick the best club for me.”

It means there will be a bit of a longer wait before the fate of Dybala is discovered, with all three clubs looking to conclude their transfer business swiftly in a huge summer for each respective club.
