Paulo Bernardo transfer release clause 'revealed' to be £6million

Celtic will have to pay a fee of at least £6million to land Paulo Bernardo on a permanent contract

This is according to Football Scotland who claim that "while there has been no concrete agreement upon a number between the Scottish champions and his parent club, the built-in deal with the 21-year-old on his initial Benfica contract is €7million."

Bernardo has scored two goals and provided two assists across 15 appearances for the Hoops so far this season, including a strike in the recent derby victory over Rangers.

Meanwhile, Celtic have reportedly "granted" Buckie Thistle a bumper away allocation for their upcoming Scottish Cup tie at Parkhead.

This is according to the Scottish Sun who claim that "the Highland League side's request for 5,000 tickets has been accepted for the fixture on January 21".

Buckie Thistle will be getting 3,000 adult tickets, 1,000 for kids and a further 1,000 for concession rates.

It is believed they will open sales for the briefs early next week. Jags commercial director Daniel Farquhar said:  "Celtic have been tremendous to deal with and we appreciate very much their willingness to give us 5,000 tickets.

“We’ll look to sell them all. So many people are looking to go to Glasgow for the match and we’re delighted to provide a good opportunity.

“Celtic told us that Feyenoord asked for the same amount of tickets for their recent Champions League match.

"That’s a remarkable comparison. But it underlines the enthusiasm everyone with Buckie Thistle at heart is showing for the cup tie.

“It really is a once-in-a-lifetime match for us. Excitement has been growing ever since the draw.

“It would be fantastic to have 5,000 fans backing the team at Parkhead.

“By the amount of tickets they’re giving us Celtic have recognised how big a day it’s going to be for Buckie Thistle — and we are grateful.”
