Paula Abdul has suggested that genetics are responsible for her "seemingly ageless" appearance.
The singer and dancer, 60, has attracted attention for her 'youthful' appearance in recent years - and looked ageless as she posed for photos at a Christmas party just last year.
The former American Idol judge was asked about her secret whilst in attendance at a gala for the charity Homeless Not Toothless in Los Angeles over the weekend.
And she said she owes everything to her late father Harry Abdul who died in 2019.
"You know what, I always say, 'Thank you, Dad.' My dad's Syrian and Brazilian," she told PageSix.
She added: "I lucked out with his genes."
The choreographer - who released songs such as the chart-topping track Opposites Attract in her music career - looked up as she mentioned her late father Harry.
Further responding, the Grammy Award winner continued by mentioning her late mother Lorraine Abdul - who passed away the year prior to Harry's death, also aged 85.
Paula - who had expressed gratitude to the reporter Evan Real for complimenting her appearance - continued: "And my mom had [a] beautiful fair complexion."
It was subsequently suggested by Evan that Paula got "the best of both worlds" because of her parentage, with the performer herself agreeing. She replied: "I did, yes".
Paula wasn't the only celebrity at the event on Saturday (April 22) for the charity Homeless Not Toothless, which provides "free dental care to disadvantaged populations".
Other attendees at the recent gala included RHOBH cast members such as charity board member Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke.
The fundraising gala - which was also attended by the likes of actor William H. Macy, who is listed as an ambassador for the charity - was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
