Paul Waring emerged victorious at the Abu Dhabi Championship, claiming the biggest win of his career with a stellar performance. The 229th-ranked English golfer showcased his skill and composure by carding a remarkable 6-under 66 in the final round, finishing on an impressive 24 under overall.

Waring, at 39 years old, expressed his surprise at the ease with which he navigated the final round, emphasizing the significance of his achievement. He commended his ability to maintain control and composure throughout the day, highlighting his pride in his performance.

The Englishman's triumph saw him edge out his compatriot Tyrrell Hatton by a single stroke, with Hatton delivering a strong performance with eight birdies in his final round of 64. Danish golfer Thorbjorn Olesen, Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy, and Englishman Matt Wallace finished tied for third, three shots behind Waring.
