Paul Walker’s only child, Meadow, will honour her late father with a cameo in the forthcoming Fast X.
The 24-year-old daughter of Fast and Furious star Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013, teased her movie debut in an Instagram post shared on Thursday (11 May).
She wrote: “The first Fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin [Diesel], Jordana [Brewster], Michelle [Rodriguez], Chris [Bridges aka Ludacris] and more on the monitors.
“Thanks to my dad, I was born into the Fast family.”
An accompanying image of one of the movie monitors shows Meadow in what appears to be a flight attendant’s outfit. No other details surrounding her appearance have yet been released.
“I can’t believe now I get to be up there too. With those who have been around to see me grow up,” she continued. “I am so blessed to be able to honour my father’s legacy and share this with him forever.”
Alongside Vin Diesel, Walker was the face of the action franchise before his untimely death at age 40 in November 2013.
Although he died before they were done filming Furious 7, artists were able to digitally overlay Walker’s face onto body doubles played by his brothers Caleb and Cody to complete his work in the film.
Franchise newcomers Brie Larson, Jason Momoa and Rita Moreno join returning cast members Diesel, Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Sung Kang in the next instalment.
Fast X is directed by Louis Leterrior, who took over from former Fast and Furious director Justin Lin after he reportedly quit the franchise due to a “major disagreement” with Diesel.
The forthcoming movie sees Toretto (Diesel) and his family face a threat from a revenge-thirsty figure whose mission is to destroy Toretto’s world and everything and everyone he loves.
Fast X premieres in cinemas on 19 May.
