Paul Robinson blasts inconsistent Leeds United after Leicester City no-show

Paul Robinson ripped into Leeds United players after their dismal performance at the King Power Stadium. A Robin Koch own goal and a strike from Harvey Barnes did the damage in the first half as Leicester City ran away as comfortable 2-0 winners.

Leeds had more possession and almost three times as many shots but, yet again, fired a blank to finish the game empty-handed. For the third time in four games, Jesse Marsch’s side failed to score - causing away supporters to voice their discontent at the American at the full-time whistle.

Former Whites goalkeeper Robinson slated the “poor” performance after the game. Speaking to Amazon Prime, the ex-England international highlighted how inconsistent performances have been the bane of Leeds’ season.

“We talked about it pre-game, what it's like to play at the bottom of the league - it’s tough,” Robinson said. “It was a Leicester team tonight who were under pressure at home against the Leeds side who we expected to press. They didn’t do that.

“I thought they were poor tonight. You saw the way they played against Arsenal, there was a lot of hope… and that's been their problem all season. They play well in fits and starts. The consistency and the regularity of the performances aren't there - they were poor tonight.

“They pressed disjointedly because they didn't play as a team, they left gaps at the back, and they conceded chances that didn't offer a lot, but, on the flip side, you've got to give Leicester a lot of credit for the way they played.”
