Pogba sends farewell message to United fans
Paul Pogba’s second spell at United is officially at an end after the club confirmed he will be leaving at the end of his contract. As reported by the Manchester Evening News , the midfielder is expected to rejoin Juventus, six years on from his first departure from Turin.
It brings an end to a United career that largely failed to live up to expectations following a world record £89million transfer fee. Pogba’s departure has been touted for some time, and it’s telling that his final appearance at Old Trafford saw him cup his ear to United supporters as they showed their displeasure.

Nevertheless, Pogba has penned a farewell message to United fans, which he shared on social media following the confirmation of his departure. The midfielder said it had been a ‘privilege’ to play for the club, and spoke of an ‘unconditional support’ from fans.
United prioritise Timber as defensive target and hold talks with Carmo
Jurrien Timber’s name has featured heavily in the build-up to the transfer window, and it’s perhaps no surprise given his connection with Erik ten Hag. The young defender played under the new United boss at Ajax, and emerged as one of the club’s top talents.
Reports over the past week have suggested Timber’s representatives have met with United at their Mayfair headquarters. The Manchester Evening News now understands the 20-year-old is Ten Hag’s preferred choice as the Reds target a new defender.
United have also held talks with Portuguese defender David Carmo. The 22-year-old is believed to be considered a fall-back option.
