Paul Pogba's new scathing verdict on Manchester United after brutally honest comments

Paul Pogba has admitted he's needed a 'break' from Manchester United during his time spent at the club.

Pogba returned to Old Trafford for a world-record fee of £89m in 2016 but his second stint at United is now coming to an end.. Pogba is set to leave United at the end of the season on a free transfer, exactly 10 years after he previously left the club for free.

The Frenchman will leave having won just the League Cup and Europa League. Pogba's time at United is considered underwhelming by a large majority of the club's fan base and the player's brutally honest comments earlier this week provided his critics with more ammunition. Pogba spoke about United's predicament and some replied by suggesting he's a contributor to those problems.

Pogba has always looked happier playing for France and he's currently with his national side during the international break.

The player has been comfortable enough to participate in interviews on United this week and now fresh quotes have emerged. Pogba agreed that reporting for international duty with France has been the 'oxygen' he's needed away from United.

"You have to tell the truth," Pogba told Telefoot.

"When there were difficult times in Manchester, I needed this break in Blue to regain that confidence."

Pogba could play in France next season as it's believed Paris Saint-Germain have an interest in the player.
