Paul Pogba issues 'fighting' message after Manchester United drop points vs Leicester

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has issued a defiant message after the Reds again dropped two points, this time against Leicester.

Without star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, United were forced to reshape their starting line-up which saw Bruno Fernandes lead the line. But without a recognised striker, as Marcus Rashford was left on the bench, Ralf Rangnick's side struggled to forge an opening in a dull first half.

Pogba was replaced by Nemanja Matic with 15 minutes to play but, by that time, the game had sparked into life by two goals in three minutes shortly after the hour mark, first from Kelechi Iheanacho and then a Fred equaliser. The Foxes almost snatched all three points when James Maddison fired beyond David de Gea, only for the goal to be chalked off for a foul in the build-up.

On Instagram, the Frenchman posted: "Heads up, we have to fight until the last game and we will do it!"

The point sees United cut the gap between themselves and fourth-placed Arsenal to three points, though the Gunners now have two games in hand. Tottenham, in fifth, can move three points clear with a win over Newcastle.
