Paul Pogba has said he "wants to feel loved" as he closes in on finding a new club after his Manchester United exit.
The Frenchman was confirmed to be departing Old Trafford last week, with the Red Devils set to lose his services on a free transfer after a club record move back in 2016. It is the second time that Man United have been forced to let Pogba depart for nothing having also let him go at the end of his deal back in 2012.
It has not yet been announced where the 29-year-old will be playing his football next term - albeit former club Juventus have been strongly linked with making a move for his services. Amid his departure from Old Trafford, Pogba has hinted that he did not feel ‘loved’ with the Red Devils and suggested that he is aiming for a more appreciative environment wherever he moves to next.
Speaking with Uninterrupted, the midfielder admitted: “Everybody wants to feel loved, everyone needs that in your soul to feel appreciated. Everything you do even when you grow up, when you do a good thing you like to hear well done, nice, it's always been like that even adults we need that.
“It's always good to feel the work you do is appreciated that you're doing well that people are happy with yourself.”
Pogba leaves Man United having never quite managed to hit the heights expected of him at Old Trafford since his £89m move. The World Cup winner ended up making 226 appearances during his second spell with the club, scoring 39 goals.

He lifted the Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield under Jose Mourinho during his first season back as part of the Red Devils’ squad but failed to claim any more silverware since. With strong links with Italian giants Juventus, the Serie A club’s current manager Max Allegri has regularly been questioned about his interest in the French international.
He has previously joked that Pogba will not be returning to Turin with the midfielder fearing a challenge against his former boss. Speaking last month, Allegri said: "Pogba is definitely not coming back because he is afraid to challenge me, so he is not coming.
"He thought, then first he lost with his feet and then with his hands and then he left. The real reason why he left is this and hardly ever comes back."
During his previous spell under Allegri in Italy, Pogba accumulated 178 appearances for Juventus and was key to four Serie A title successes, as well as claiming two Coppa Italias.
