Paul O'Grady's husband Andre supported by fans as he shares another heart-breaking loss

Paul O'Grady's husband Andre Portasio was met with a plethora of supportive messages from fans and celebrity pals as he revealed another tragic loss. Just weeks after the TV star's heart-breaking death, his partner took to social media to share some devastating news.

Andre had been with animal lover Paul O'Grady for 17 years and together lived in for many years in their farmhouse home in Kent, which boasted a vast variety of rescue animals. However, he sadly told followers that their two pet goats had passed away.

Alongside a heart-warming snapshot pf Paul with their beloved goats, Maleficent and Beebo, Andre sadly announced they had both died on the same day. He wrote: “Bad news that keeps on coming... a very sad day at our house.

"@Paulogrady goats Maleficent and Beebo have both passed away today.” The news comes just two months after Paul died from a heart attack in March at the age of 67.

The comment section quickly became flooded with messages of condolences from celebrity friends, including Former Chattyman host Alan Carr, who replied: "So sorry – awful just awful x."

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden posted a crying emoji face. Former TV presenter Melanie Sykes added: “Sending so much love xxxx.”

Plenty of fans also offered their support. Craftedcreaturez typed: "So sorry to hear that, Andre. I hope that you, the dogs and all other animals are faring better. Thinking of you and sending love xx."

Susanjones7680 put: "At least they went together on their journey....just couldn't wait to see their Dad again. So sorry for you thou it's a big loss." Angelagreen6862 echoed: "They must have missed Paul so much. Paul will be waiting for them on the Farm above."

Andre lost Paul on March 28, 2023, as he tragically died "unexpectedly but peacefully". In a statement at the time, Andrew said: "It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.

"We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion.

"I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years."
