Paul O'Grady died aged 67 on Tuesday evening as his closest friends and colleagues paid tribute to the beloved presenter, revealing his final moments.
Avengers actress Linda Thorson, 75, appeared on Good Morning Britain and spoke about the late Lily Savage icon to hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray. Paul's husband Andre announced that the TV personality had passed away "unexpectedly but peacefully" on Tuesday evening.
Some of Paul's closest friends have come forward and shared what his final moments looked like, as Linda told GMB viewers he died in his bed with Andre beside him. Linda said: "He was so happy, full of life. But he died in his own bed, his husband was there, Andre the most divine man who he has been with for many years.
"He's only 41, he will be so bereft of Paul, he worshipped Paul."
She added: "He gave a speech at Paul's 60th birthday and Cilla was there and Barbara Windsor, they're all gone. They'll all be partying in heaven, and the Queen."
Linda shared a touching story of Andre's speech at his husband's 60th birthday as he declared his love for Paul in front of their family and friends. "We will all be there for you Andre," the Marvel actress added.
Linda praised Pau's generosity and described him as a 'king among men' as many mourn the loss of the entertainer across the country.
She began: "He would have tea with the Queen. She liked him a a lot, he would go and they would have a really nice time and a chat and then he'd have the postman to dinner. The house in Kent people came in andnChristmas there was divine. We would just love, generous, food, he's make these fabulous omelettes and play music."
Linda said Paul was "generous to a fault" and she "will never meet anyone like him" as her voice began to break. She continued: "He was a king among men. He was just a friend. He cared about me, he actually cared about me and I felt that and you don't feel that, that often."
In the same interview, Susanna was forced to apologise as Linda accidentally swore on live TV made reference to GMB's chat with Energy Secretary Grant Shapps and described the exchange as "b*****t".
