Paul Mescal’s mother Dearbhla has thanked her followers for their well wishes from her hospital bed as she begins stem cell treatment for cancer.

Dearbhla, who works as a member of An Garda Siochana, is currently in St James’ Hospital in Dublin where she is receiving treatment for multiple myeloma, which is a type of bone marrow cancer.

After a rough weekend receiving chemotherapy, Dearbhla is now undergoing stem cell treatment.
