From micro shorts to slutty little cardigans, Paul Mescal has become an actor known for his off-duty looks. And now you literally buy the clothes off his back.
Don’t worry, Paul Mescal isn’t selling on Vinted in the way the rest of us do. It’s not like he’s had a tough month and turned to Vinted in an attempt to part ways with those beloved knee-high boots he just never reaches for. He’s not posting on the app saying “serious offers only, not sure if I want to sell xoxox”. He’s doing it for a good cause, of course.
In fact, Paul Mescal is selling his Gladiator II press wardrobe (yes, the actual clothes he wore!) for a very good cause indeed. The actor will be selling a selection of designer items via Vinted on December 16 in aid of Irish mental health charity Pieta, which helps young people struggling with thoughts of suicide or self harming.
The items range from luxury pieces that reflect Mescal’s eclectic style to unique archival pieces from the likes of Jimmy Choo and Av Vattev.
According to Vinted, highlights from Paul’s wardrobe include a custom hand-painted silk knit jumper by emerging Scottish knitwear designer B.W. Marks. This one-off piece was specifically custom-made for Paul and is the collaborative creation of Mescal, his stylist Felicity Kay, and B.W. Marks.
You will quite literally be copping a one of a kind piece of Mescal history. Or, if you want to be really on the nose, you can buy Pescal’s ERL slogan cap that bears the words “ACTOR”.
The Paul Mescal Vinted edit is only available for Vinted members in the UK and can be purchased via this link from December 16 onwards, so set your reminders and get bidding!
“Paul has always had a strong connection to vintage and pre-loved fashion,” Mescal’s stylist Felicity Kay explained. “He’s often eager to rewear pieces we’ve styled before or items from his own wardrobe. Partnering with Vinted for Paul’s Gladiator II promotion tour made perfect sense as it gave us the opportunity to delve deep into his love for second-hand clothes - in fact, I found a pair of Ben Davis workpants on Vinted, they fit Paul like a dream - no adjustments needed!
“They became one of his favourite pieces during the tour. But we were equally both excited about finding a way to give the clothes he wore during his tour a second life, so selling them on Vinted felt like the perfect fit, especially with the added bonus of supporting a good cause.”
Cécile Wickmann, Senior Director of Luxury at Vinted, adds: “At Vinted we celebrate second-hand fashion, whether it's for everyday or for the red carpet, It’s wonderful to see Paul championing pre-loved and vintage fashion as an expression of his personal style but also as a mark of appreciation to fashion history, particularly with vintage and archival pieces.
“By offering pieces from his own personal wardrobe for sale exclusively on Vinted, Paul is ensuring that these items can continue their next chapters in new homes.”
