Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams made their official red carpet debut at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards after months of keeping their romance under wraps.
The Hamnet actor, 30, and US singer, 26, began quietly dating in 2024 and have so far kept their relationship out of the public eye, save for some pub dates in north London.
Last week, however, the couple marked their first public appearance together at the Man on the Run screening in London, wearing matching caps while posing with Sir Paul McCartney.
And they took things a step further by hitting the red carpet on Sunday, with Abrams looking resplendent in a beaded Chanel gown from Matthieu Blazy’s pre-fall 2026 collection and Mescal going classic in a black tuxedo and collarless shirt.
The duo looked loved-up as they posed hand-in-hand, with Abrams even leaning in to kiss her Irish partner on the cheek.
Mescal went Instagram official with Abrams, 26, last July, with the singer sharing a sweet selfie of the couple cosied up on a blanket at Glastonbury.
He was typically coy was asked if there was a particular moment that made the pair decide to go public with their romance, during an interview with Rolling Stone.
“I don’t know how to answer that,” the Aftersun star said.
“I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me and I don’t want to... This isn’t… I don’t really… umm … I want to protect those things fundamentally.”
The Normal People star, who was promoting his film The History Of Sound, also shared his hopes for having a family.
“I love babies with very adult names,” he said. “I would love to have a family. I’m not like, ‘I want them tomorrow,’ but I would love to have kids.”
Mescal and Abrams were first romantically linked in June 2024 when they were spotted enjoying a cosy dinner date and have been seen enjoying dates in New York and London since.
The That’s So True singer joined Mescal at the Gladiator II premiere afterparty in November 2024.
Until Sunday night, they had been photographed at the same event multiple times but not walked the red carpet together.
Mescal previously dated singer Phoebe Bridgers from 2020 to 2022.
He appeared in her music video for Savior Complex and provided backing vocals for Bridgers’ cover of The Handsome Family’s So Much Wine.
