Paul Merson makes Liverpool top four prediction and Manchester United claim

Paul Merson Liverpool Manchester United Arsenal EPL Jurgen Klopp Steven Gerrard

Liverpool have still been backed to finish in the Premier League’s top four by Arsenal legend Paul Merson.

The Reds have had an indifferent start to the season, with just nine points from a possible 18 on offer. That form leaves Liverpool in seventh place and six points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also not had a good start in Europe, either. Wednesday night saw the Reds lose 4-1 to Napoli in their first Champions League Group A fixture.
