Paul Merson has slammed Liverpool for selling Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and made the controversial claim that Andy Robertson has been a better signing for the club than Fabinho.
Mane completed his £35m move to the German champions earlier this week, bringing an end to his six-year stay at Anfield. The Senegalese icon scored 120 goals in 269 games and won every trophy possible while at the club. He will no doubt go down in folklore as a Reds legend but Merson couldn’t believe the club allowed him to depart.
“I can't for the life of me understand why they've allowed him to move to Bayern Munich,” he told Sportskeeda. “If you look at his record, he never really scored the third, fourth or fifth goal of the game - his goals always won Liverpool points.
