Arsenal have been warned it is Gabriel Jesus or bust in the transfer window this summer.
The Gunners are pushing to sign the Manchester City striker and are currently favourites to land him after Tottenham pulled out of the race. Jesus is valued around £50m and would fill a huge hole at the Emirates, where Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both departed in recent months.
But former Arsenal great Paul Merson has claimed his old club's hopes of finishing in the top four rest on whether they sign Jesus - because they can't rely on Eddie Nketiah to deliver a top-four finish. Merson said: "Arsenal must get Gabriel Jesus if they are serious about getting back into the top four. They have got to get him. It's that simple.
