This season, the Golden State Warriors’ struggles have left most fans and analysts believing they need to make a trade. They’re currently 12th in the Western Conference and have failed to show consistency in their offensive and defensive approach throughout the season, losing multiple games from winning positions as a result.
As such, there is a belief that the Warriors could look to the trade market to try and salvage their season. However, opinion is split on whether Mike Dunleavy Jr. should dangle some of the team’s younger talent or look to flip a veteran player like Andrew Wiggins.
According to Paul George, who was speaking via his “Podcast P” podcast, a potential deal that would send Jonathan Kuminga to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Pascal Siakam would make sense.
It’s worth noting that the Warriors are reportedly hesitant to move on from Kuminga, especially after his early-season performances. In his SteinLine newsletter, Marc Stein recently reported that the Warriors are ‘known to be resistant’ to parting ways with Kuminga.
“The Warriors are also known to be resistant to the idea of trading Kuminga, who was selected with the No. 7 overall pick in 2021,” Stein wrote.
