Despite the negative reception, George responded by hitting back-to-back 3-pointers early in the game.
Clippers coach Tyronn Lue had urged fans to show their support for George, emphasizing the importance of appreciating him both on and off the court. George, who scored 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds in the game, is still working his way back to full conditioning after a left knee injury kept him sidelined for the start of the season.
