Paul Gascoigne left Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes laughing as he automatically apologised for a cheeky comment he made live on This Morning. The former footballer was live on the ITV daytime show to chat about his latest TV appearance.
Paul - or 'Gazza' as he is known from his footballing days - has signed up for new Channel 4 reality show Scared of the Dark. The series, presented by Danny Dyer and which airs all week, kicked off on Sunday night (April 16).
It sees eight famous faces - Paul, Scarlett Moffatt, Chris Eubank, Chris McCausland, Donna Preston, Chloe Burrows, Max George and Nicola Adams - not just giving up the limelight, but light altogether. In a world first, celebrities live, eat and sleep all in complete darkness. They also encounter their most primal fears in genuinely terrifying and faceless challenges and if they fail, they lose their privileges.

Appearing on This Morning Gazza recalled one challenge to Rochelle and Phillip, saying: "There was a little box, I got blown up and there was another task where if you got hit loads of time with a canon, you'd win the challenge.
"I told them 'a little bit lower' and the last one hit me in me privates. So I had three balls down there..." as Rochelle let out a comical gasp. Gazza then quickly apologised, saying: "Sorry," as Phill ipand Rochelle laughed.
The former sportsman also didn't hold back when he spoke about his "rival" - Chris Eubank. Gazza said: "When I heard the list and I knew it was Eubank I just thought to myself, 'oh no, not him'. That was my first thought."
He added: "I'm just used to him. I thought he was born with a dictionary up his backside." The comment came after the pair were seen clashing in the first show after Gazza left his co-stars speechless with a rather unsavoury story about Margaret Thatcher.
Former professional boxer Chris asked the groups if anyone had any 'poems or stories' to share with the group. And Gazza left viewers at home blushing as he admitted getting turned on during a visit to 10 Downing Street.
