Patty Tavatanakit is a highly-talented pro golfer from Thailand who already has a Major win to her name. But what else do you need to know about her? We take a look below.

PATTY TAVATANAKIT FACTS

1. Her full name is Paphangkorn Tavatanakit, although she goes by Patty.

2. Tavatanakit was born on October 11, 1999 in Bangkok, Thailand.

3. She attended Keerapat International School in Bangkok and started playing golf there as a teenager, despite the school not having a golf team.

4. Tavatanakit won the Callway Junior World Golf Championship for girls in 2014, and was named the 2015-16 Thailand Amateur Ladies Golf Association Player of the Year after she won both the Junior Golf Association Rolex Tournament of Champions and the Ping Invitational.

5. The Thai golfer won seven collegiate tournaments in 2016 and 2017 playing for UCLA Bruins in California. She was on the same team as Lilia Vu between 2017 and 2018.

6. There she was named the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) and Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year, WGCA First Team All-American twice, and All-Pac-12 First Team Member.

7. Tavatanakit finished T5th at the 2018 US Women's Open while still playing as an amateur - her finish was the highest from any amateur at that tournament.

8. She competed at the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup for Team World alongside the likes of Viktor Hovland and Harry Hall.

9. Tavatanakit turned professional in 2019, where she joined the Symetra Tour.

10. She won three times in just eight tournaments to pick up the Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year award.

11. She then joined the LGPA Tour in 2020, with her first tournament coming at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rico.

12. It took until April 2021 before she won her first event on the Tour, and more impressively her first Major too - the 2021 ANA Inspiration.

13. Tavatanakit was named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2021, also landing the the Rolex ANNIKA Major award.

14. Tavatanakit helped Team Thailand to victory at the 2023 International Crown - a biennial team event on the LPGA Tour. She was joined by Jeeno Thitikul plus sisters Moriya and Ariya Jutanugarn.

15. In 2024, Tavatanakit won her first Ladies European Tour title and then her maiden regular LPGA Tour title in consecutive weeks during February. She claimed the Aramco Saudi Ladies International on the LET and then the Honda LPGA Thailand.

16. Tavatanakit has twice represent her country at the Olympic Games. She finished T23rd in Tokyo 2021 and T29th in Paris 2024.
