Former Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit surprised fans at the weekend when she announced her engagement to property tycoon Patric Cassidy.
The mum-of-two shared a beautiful picture of her boyfriend's beach proposal on Instagram with the caption: "I said Yes." It is understood the couple started dating in August 2022 and reports of an engagement started circulating just a few weeks later.
The actress, who left Emmerdale in 2006, has been married four times before. Her first husband, Dan Donavan was a band member of Big Audio Dynamite.

They divorced in 1991. The following year, Patsy married Simple Minds lead singer Jim Kerr with whom she shares her first child James.
Following her divorce from Jim, Patsy married Oasis singer Liam Gallagher who she once described as "the love of her life" in 1997. They welcomed a son, Lennon, in 1999, before announcing the end of their marriage in 2000.
Patsy married for a fourth time in 2009. She and DJ Jeremy Healy split up in 2010.
The now 54-year-old told ITV's Loose Women in August 2022 that she "can't be bothered" with men and that she'd much rather spend time with her children. However, she clearly changed her mind and is now set to marry her millionaire boyfriend Patric Cassidy.

How Patsy and Patric met
Patric and Patsy reportedly met through mutual friends in 2022. After a whirlwind five-week romance, Patric got down on one knee and proposed during a romantic fish supper in October.
A source told The Sun: "Both Patsy and Patric are smitten, and it just feels very right. He popped the question at Scott's in London on Tuesday, and after she celebrated they took over the bar at the nearby Connaught hotel and bought the whole room Cristal champagne."
At the time, Patsy did not publicly announce her engagement but when her representatives were approached for comment at the time, they said: "I cannot confirm or deny the engagement, however Patsy is very happy and she has asked me to thank you for asking."
Who is Patric Cassidy?
Not much is known about Patric. According to previous reports, he and his brother James left school aged 16 to pursue their careers.
Patric started a carpenter's apprenticeship with Coventry City Council after leaving education with a couple of O-levels. In 1985, he and his brother decided to start their own development firm called Cassidy Group.
The company, based in Meriden, has been behind a number of projects including luxury ski chalets in the French Alps, student accommodation and mixed-use schemes. According to his LinkedIn profile, Patric went to Cardinal Wiseman School in Coventry.
It is understood Patric also has children from previous relationships.
Beach proposal
Patsy's boyfriend popped the question in front of the sparkling ocean while the two enjoyed some time away abroad. Kneeling in the centre of a heart made from red petals, the property developer presented the actress with a huge diamond ring.
Before the proposal, the couple shared a romantic meal in a beach cabana with their lit-up initials "P&P" in the background.
