Patsy Kensit confesses only two of her four marriages were 'significant'

Patsy Kensit admitted only two of her four marriages were 'significant'.

The actress, who has appeared on Holby City and Emmerdale, first got married in 1988 when she was 20 years old.

At the time, she tied the knot with keyboardist and musician from pop group Big Audio Dynamite Dan Donovan.

The couple divorced in 1991 and a year later she married Simple Minds front man Jim Kerr.

Four years later, Jim and Patsy decided to part ways and she didn't tie the knot again until 1997.

Her third husband was none other than Oasis star Liam Gallagher but their romance didn't last.

They divorced in 2000.

It wasn't until 2009 that she married 1980s pop group Haysi Fantayzee's singer Jeremy Healy. They split the year after.

Out of the four marriages, Patsy said that only her marriages to Jim and Liam were 'significant'.

Patsy told the Postcards From Midlife podcast: "Well, I married all my boyfriends, so... that was something that I've learned I needn't do.

"I can't change the rules of the law... [but] I was with Jim, and Lennon's dad for years, so I kind of count them as my two marriages."

She added: "I know that's not allowed, I know there was a ceremony. But I feel that those were the really significant relationships and very, very deep and wonderful in so many ways."

Meanwhile, dad Liam recently discussed being a father and insisted that he's strict.

He said in his Sky special, Liam Gallagher 48 hours at Rockfield: “If they step out of line they’ll get a telling off. Even if I haven’t got a leg to stand on, I do have a knee to bounce off. They say to me, ‘You can talk’. But I’m like, ‘Exactly’.”

The documentary follows Liam on a trip to the Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, South Wales, with his sons – Gene, 21, whose mum is Nicole Appleton, and Lennon.

Speaking of his sons, he said: "Lennon comes across as the chilled one, but he’s got a little temper as well.

"Gene comes across as the lairy one – he’s a bit sensitive. They’re both f***ing little madheads.

"But they’re good. They’ve got good qualities, do you know what I mean?"
