Patriots Week 16 injury report: Good and bad news on Thursday

The New England Patriots had some encouraging news on the injury front on Thursday with safety Kyle Dugger being upgraded as a limited participant after missing Wednesday’s practice.

However, the bad news was defensive tackle Christian Barmore being placed on the reserve non-football illness list due to recurring symptoms of his original blood clot diagnosis that kept him out for most of the season.

The injuries are piling up for the Patriots, and it isn’t just on the defensive side of the ball.

On offense, guard Cole Strange was a limited participant in practice with a knee injury, while rookie tackle Caedan Wallace was limited with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, veteran tackle Vederian Lowe has been nursing a shoulder injury.

Here’s the full injury list from Thursday’s practice:

Did not participate
DT Christian Barmore, Not Injury Related – Other
RB JaMycal Hasty, Ankle
CB Marcus Jones, Hip

CB Christian Gonzalez, Shoulder
LB Anfernee Jennings, Knee

It’ll be an uphill battle for the Patriots against quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills’ high-powered offense. They’ll need all of the help they can get if they have any hope of toppling arguably the toughest opponent they’ve faced all season.
