It’ll be a reunion party at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday when Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots take on Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders.
It has been an offensive struggle for both teams right out of the gates. Both rank among the worst in the NFL in scoring offense, and the quarterback play has been iffy at best.
That might even be putting it mildly considering Mac Jones and Jimmy Garoppolo have both thrown more interceptions than touchdowns.
So don’t be surprised if this game ends up a little messy with defense taking the center stage. The Patriots are banged up on the defensive side of the ball, but they still have one of the better units in the league.
Meanwhile, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has been on an absolute tear. He’ll be looking to play game-wrecker against the Patriots’ shaky offense.
