The New England Patriots announced on Sunday that injured running back Rhamondre Stevenson is questionable to return to the game with multiple injuries.
Per the team, Stevenson is dealing with a head and ankle injury.
The third-year running back has served as one of the Patriots’ best offensive weapons in a skilled position group lacking in explosive talent. Granted, Stevenson has struggled this season in yards after contact and as a receiver out of the backfield.
The Patriots are fortunate to have a top-end backup with three-time Pro Bowler Ezekiel Elliott. After Stevenson left the game, Elliott powered his way into the end zone for the Patriots’ first touchdown since their Week 3 meeting against the New York Jets.
