New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye gave a positive update on his knee injury heading into Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The injury was noted on Wednesday’s injury report, but Maye was listed as a full participant. There was a report from the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin that Maye underwent an MRI for the injury as well.
Yet, despite the knee injury talk, it has been business as usual for the rookie quarterback on the practice field this week. When fielding questions from the media, Maye said that he felt good and was ready to go against the Jaguars.
Maye is coming off an impressive debut as a starter against a tough Houston Texans defense. He threw for 243 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in that matchup.

New England’s offense received a spark because of Maye’s abilities on the field, and they’ll need that spark to knock off the Jaguars and put an end to their five-game losing streak on Sunday.
