Irony was on fully display for the sports world when a month-old tweet from Patriots defensive back Jack Jones resurfaced, featuring sharp criticism of Grizzlies star Ja Morant’s behavior regarding firearms. Jones was arrested Friday after two guns were found in his carry-on baggage at a security checkpoint at Boston’s Logan Airport.
Morant is in trouble yet again for flashing a handgun during an Instagram Live video for the second time and is currently facing a 25-game suspension to start the 2023–24 season. Jones’s tweet from May 15 was posted shortly after the Grizzlies suspended Morant indefinitely after the second such incident.
@JaMorant dumb.. you letting social media and yo pride ruin yo real money. Put them guns down and run that money up. Make one of yo homies sign up for security or concealed carry if you feel like you need it that bad.. but you the bread winner you gotta start acting like it..
