Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has explained why he does not think it’s a good time to play Liverpool.
The Reds were recently heavily beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a 5-2 defeat at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Now Liverpool will prepare to face Palace in the Premier League on Saturday. Before the defeat to Madrid, the Reds had claimed back-to-back wins over Everton and Newcastle United.

Despite Liverpool losing heavily in midweek, Vieira has warned why he thinks Palace will still face a tough evening against the Reds. The former Arsenal star reckons Liverpool will be extra motivated to “bounce back” when they go to Selhurst Park.
“I don’t think this is the best time to play them,” said Vieira in his press conference on Friday.
“I think when you’re talking about Liverpool Football Club, with what they have achieved in the last couple of years, looking at the quality of players that they have, they will want to bounce back straight away.
“There is no good time to play Liverpool. But on the other side, our performances in the last couple of games, especially at home with the support that we have, has been positive.
“So what is important for us is to turn those performances into a win.”
