Patrick Vieira has admitted that Crystal Palace are "short on numbers" and that he is keen on adding further bodies to his side.
Ahead of Friday night's Premier League opener against his former team Arsenal, Vieira voiced his concerns over the lack of numbers within the Palace squad.
Despite securing the signatures of midfielders Cheick Doucoure and Chris Richards, as well as the confirming the arrivals of Sam Johnstone and Malcom Ebiowei, Vieira believes that the club must continue to make additions if they are to enjoy another successful campaign.

"As a manager I think you always want more. So far, I’m really happy with the players we’ve managed to bring in but, obviously, we’re still pretty short on numbers."
One player that his been linked with a move to Selhurst Park is former Eagles full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Croydon-born 24-year-old left Palace for Manchester United in 2019 but struggled throughout the 2021/2022 season under both Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Ralf Rangnick.
However, when questioned over a potential move for Wan-Bissaka, Vieira remained coy and and instead offered praise to right-backs Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne.
"When names are going about it’s always difficult to talk about. We already have a couple of players on the right-hand-side that have done well since I’ve been at the club."
