Patrick Vieira said the only thing missing from Crystal Palace's performance vs Liverpool was to score a goal.
Palace played out a 0-0 draw against the Reds at Selhurst Park, only managing six shots across 90 minutes and none of those were on target. Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta hit the crossbar, as did Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah for Jurgen Klopp's side.
Jurgen Klopp's side were poor throughout, allowing the Eagles through on goal only for them to fail to finish. And speaking after the final whistle, Vieira said that his side did what he asked and that the performance warranted a goal.

“You know when you play against Liverpool, your 11 players on the field have to perform because of the quality that they have," Vieira told Palace's website. “When you look from Vince [Guaita] to Mateta up front, we worked well. We worked hard as a team and we were well-disciplined.
“The plan that we had, I believe the players executed really well today – the only thing that was missing was to score that goal.”
The result left Palace in 12th place, four points off Chelsea in tenth prior to their Sunday fixture against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Results down the bottom of the table meant the club are still six points off the relegation zone with Palace still searching for their first win of 2023.
