Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is reportedly a leading contender to replace Steve Cooper if he is sacked as Nottingham Forest manager.
Cooper is understood to be under pressure to keep his job as Reds boss heading into tonight's game against Leeds United (7.45pm kick-off). Forest have gone seven games without a win to leave them 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.
With owner Evangelos Marinakis concerned by the prospect of relegation in the club's first season back in the top flight, Cooper is now in the spotlight.

The Daily Mail is reporting Vieira is in the frame to replace Cooper if Marinakis makes a change.
Veiria was sacked by Crystal Palace last month after overseeing a dreadful slump in form that saw them go nine games without a win to put them at risk of relegation, although that fear has been reduced by Saturday's win over Leicester City, who responded by parting ways with Brendan Rodgers.
It was a poor ending for Vieira but before that he won acclaim for transforming Palace into a younger, more dynamic team as they finished 12th last season. According to the Mail, Vieira, who has also managed Nice and New York City FC, has admirers at the City Ground.
