Patrick Topping has described the 'nightmare' faced by LooseFest organisers as they weren't able to open gates on time on Saturday, with fans kept waiting to get in.
The massive festival on Newcastle's Town Moor had attracted huge interest, meaning anticipation was high heading into the weekend, with the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Mabel, Example and Joel Corry on the bill. But, while he was there and had done a number of interviews before being due on at 1.30pm, DJ Joel didn't end up making it on stage due to 'circumstances out of his control,' which prevented doors from opening on time.
Joel was on a tight schedule, with a performance in Belgium on Saturday evening and the delay meant his set had to be scrapped, with him taking to Twitter to explain and apologise to fans. Joel's set wasn't the only one affected by issues on site and local lad Patrick took to Instagram to inform his followers that he wouldn't be on at 2pm, telling them: "So I'm at LooseFest now, so they've had a bit of a nightmare, they haven't been able to open on time, so my set's been moved back, I'm now doing half 2 til 4. That gives people a chance to get in anyway."

After storming the stage and delighting fans, Patrick hopped in a car and went straight to the airport as, like Joel, he had a gig overseas, performing at Awakenings in the Netherlands.
Filming a video whilst en route to catch a flight, Patrick said: "Here that was f**king stupid ya kna! Filled up really quick and it was just bouncing. The Toon's always next level."
While Patrick wasn't around to see them, Saturday headliners the Black Eyed Peas pulled in a massive crowd as they performed hits like Where is the Love, Let's Get It Started and I've Got A Feeling, with band member Taboo taking to Instagram to film part of the set and declaring the 'love was big' in Newcastle.
