Who is Patrick McHenry, the new House speaker (pro tempore)?

Representative Patrick McHenry of North Carolina stepped in as speaker pro tempore of the House of Representatives after a dramatic showdown led to the removal of Kevin McCarthy.

Upon assuming the position on Tuesday night, Mr McHenry – the former chief deputy whip of the House GOP and lover of bowties – slammed the gavel down sending the House into recess.
