Patrick Mahomes tied legendary Chiefs QB’s franchise record with 3 TD performance vs. Panthers

The Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, due in no small part to the efforts of Patrick Mahomes, who threw three touchdown passes in the defending Super Bowl champions’ tenth win of the season.

With his final six-point score—a three-yard connection with veteran wideout DeAndre Hopkins—Mahomes tied Chiefs legend Len Dawson’s record for most touchdown passes in franchise history, further cementing his status as one of the most accomplished athletes of his era.

Dawson, who helped Kansas City win Super Bowl IV in 1969, was widely regarded as the best quarterback in Chiefs history before Mahomes took the NFL by storm in 2018.

Mahomes has led Kansas City to three more titles and has led the Chiefs to victories in the last two Super Bowls.

Expect Mahomes to take sole ownership of this impressive record in Kansas City’s matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.
