Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is entering his seventh season in the NFL this fall, and has already etched his name amongst the game’s great signal -allers.
In his first six seasons in the league, Mahomes has been to three Super Bowls, won two of them and captured two league MVPs. He’s thrown for 24,241 career passing yards and racked up 192 touchdowns compared to just 49 interceptions while completing 66.3% of his throws.
In many ways, it seems like Mahomes has been in the league forever, but in other ways it seems like the soon-to-be 28-year-old is just getting started. So, it’s no surprise that the Kansas City star cracked a lighthearted joke at the expense of NBC’s Sunday Night Football Twitter account, which depicted each quarterback’s experience in the AFC.

Mahomes joined Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson as tied for the fourth longest-tenured AFC signal-caller as listed on the graphic, trailing only Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Jimmy Garoppolo.
Mahomes tweeted “Dang, i got old quick” with crying laughing emojis in response to the graphic.

Although he is one of the longest-tenured AFC quarterbacks in the NFL already, Mahomes is still a couple years away from turning 30, and still has plenty of good football ahead of him for the Chiefs.
