Cincinnati Bengals fans have been left playing the what if? game about this season in the wake of Joe Burrow’s multiple injuries that derailed contention hopes, especially when looking at the current playoff field.
As it turns out, one prominent member of that field has Burrow on the mind, too.
Speaking after his Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills to advance to another AFC title game, this time against the Baltimore Ravens, Patrick Mahomes mentioned Burrow, Bills passer Josh Allen and Ravens passer Lamar Jackson as guys he always looks forward to playing against.
Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch caught the footage:
"Every time I go up against Josh (Allen), I know it's going to come down to the end. Same with Joe (Burrow) and Lamar (Jackson)."
Patrick Mahomes after making a sixth straight AFC title game.
"The great quarterbacks going up against each other."

If nothing else, it’s surely nice for Bengals fans to see their star passer mentioned and another show of respect for Burrow.
