Jermaine Beckford has urged Patrick Bamford to "shake off the rust" by following the example of Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy.
The veteran scored his first Premier League since October to earn the Foxes a vital 1-1 draw against Leeds. Vardy had gone 19 league matches without a goal, but equalised 10 minutes from time by adding the finishing touches to a classy move involving Kelechi Iheanacho and James Maddison.
Bamford had a golden opportunity to clinch all three points at the death but inexplicably fluffed his lines at the back post. Beckford is convinced Bamford would've converted that chance two seasons earlier, and says he should use Vardy as inspiration in his quest to recover his form.

"You would expect Patrick to put it in. When Leeds first got promoted to the Premier League he would have put that away, all day long," Beckford told BT Sport.
"I think it’s a matter of shaking off the rust. Jamie Vardy’s gone what, 17 or so games without a goal? He’s got his goal back and I’m sure we’re going to see a new animal from him, we just need to see that same thing from him."
Luis Sinisterra had headed Leeds ahead after 20 minutes, but the draw ensures they stay two points ahead of the drop zone, albeit with Everton boasting a game in hand.
