Leeds United welcomed journalists to an open training session and in-person press conference on Thursday as Jesse Marsch was officially unveiled as the club's new head coach.
The American joins after a brief stint out of work following a four-month spell at RB Leipzig.
Marsch has coached New York Red Bulls, FC Red Bull Salzburg and the Bundesliga outfit since the conclusion of his playing career in the United States.
This is his first posting outside energy drink conglomerate Red Bull's sphere of influence.
Earlier today, the club announced Marsch's backroom staff who will remain in place until the end of the season, which included two new faces and two internal promotions.
Marsch was asked various questions in his first official press conference, with topics ranging from the task at hand, relegation and the club's injured players.
The 48-year-old inherits a squad which is still missing some of its key names, such as Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips.
"I can only tell you that Monday we met with the medical team and they introduced a whole myriad of injuries to me," Marsch said in his press conference.
Former manager Marcelo Bielsa had initially prescribed an early March return for Phillips and Cooper, but in his final days as Whites boss, revised his assessment to a later date within the third month.
Phillips, Bamford and Cooper have not played since the December 5 draw with Brentford at Elland Road, while the England centre-forward has missed all but one fixture over the past five-and-a-half months.
Marsch provided an update on his injured players in this afternoon's press conference.
"Patrick Bamford was in training today, Kalvin and Liam are both making progress but they won't be available this weekend. They're getting closer and closer to being in team training," Marsch said.
Earlier today though, England striker Bamford was pictured out on the grass in first-team training.
"It's a little bit difficult to say, we'll evaluate Patrick, can he be on the bench or does he need a few more days He's close."
This is a welcome boost after several months spent on the sidelines, indicating he is somewhat closer to a return from a troublesome foot injury which had prevented him from jogging until recently.
"Diego Llorente was not in training today, and he's questionable for the weekend, and there's a few others we're going step by step on," Marsch added.
