Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has suggested that some of the squad have already lost faith in Erik ten Hag after the bruising defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
It was the worst possible outcome for Ten Hag for his first experience of a Manchester derby, as United found themselves 4-0 down at half-time, for the second time this season. Although Anthony Martial and Antony managed to add three goals after the break, the damage had already been done by Pep Guardiola's side.
United have demonstrated resilience under their new manager already this season, as they managed to win four consecutive Premier League games, including wins over both Liverpool and Arsenal, after losing their opening two matches of the campaign.

However, a defeat to your rivals is never an easy pill to swallow, particularly after conceding six goals to them. Evra now believes that some of the United squad have lost faith in Ten Hag following last weekend's result.
Giving his verdict on United's chances vs Everton this weekend, Evra told Betfair "This is a tough one. The question is, have United recovered from the derby? It’s always difficult to play against the Toffees, this is always a difficult game. That’s not the place I want United to go to right now. Unfortunately, I think Everton will win.
"United upset me so much against City and they brought back some bad memories. Is the team strong enough to recover that fast? I don’t know. I think the players and manager will have lost a bit of trust following the derby, some players get sensitive when a manager calls them out after a game, players like to blame people."
