Pat Carroll, who is best known as the voice of Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid, has died at the age of 95.
The actress had suffered with pneumonia before she passed away at her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. on Saturday.
She once admitted her role as Ursula in 1989, and singing songs such as Poor Unfortunate Souls, was one of her favourite roles.
It wasn't, however, her only Disney role as she'd also appeared in the 1965 musical version of Cinderella in which she played the wicked stepsister.
As well as her Disney roles, she also featured on popular series such as ER, Laverne & Shirley, and The Danny Thomas Show.
She was also a regular on US sitcom Make Room for Daddy between 1961 and 1964.
Her first major role came in 1947 when she starred in Hometown Girl.
In 1956, she won her first Emmy for her performance on Sid Caesar's House.
She also won a Grammy for best spoken word, documentary or drama in 1980 for her much-acclaimed role in a one-woman show about American novelist and playwright Gertrude Stein.
Following the news of Pat's death breaking, fans quickly took to social media to share messages of condolence.
One Twitter user wrote: "So sad, so true — Rest in Power, Dark Queen! Ursula is still one of the greatest Disney Villains ever & her signature song, “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, is still one of the greatest villain songs ever made! #TheLittleMermaid #Ursula #PatCarroll #Disney."
