Former and current pupils and teachers of Wallace Hall Academy gave the school three cheers for 300 years.
Tours of the former rectory, open door events and galleries detailing the history of the school took place last week which culminated in two big events on Saturday.
Live music was played from former and current students with memorabilia on display in Wallace Hall during an open afternoon before a reunion took place in Closeburn playing fields in the evening.
Head teacher Barry Graham said: “The tercentenary celebrations have been a fantastic, humbling and enjoyable experience for our whole school community.
“After 300 years, Wallace Hall still has a very positive reputation for its schooling and this has been reflected in the large number of positive comments we received across the whole weekend.
“I would like to thank everybody who helped plan and deliver the wide variety of events including dances, tours, the school memorabilia display, live music, stalls, video recording, trips for pupils and refreshments."
At a celebration part last Friday night Sinclair Barbour was presented with his British Empire Medal by Lord Lieutenant, Fiona Armstrong, for his services to Scottish country dancing.
