Lots of families will be looking forward to a holiday abroad this October half term with destinations such as Spain, Greece and Turkey top on the list for autumn sunshine. Now that most European countries have eased their Covid restrictions you don’t have to worry about completing complicated forms when travelling.
However, as Brexit becomes a reality Brits holidaying in Europe do need to make sure that they meet certain passport requirements. Travellers arriving in the EU and Schengen zone from outside of the EU will need to ensure that their passport complies with the criteria.
It’s important to be aware of the updated requirements, particularly if you have not travelled to the EU for some time. There are now limits on the amount of time UK travellers can spend within the EU, for example.
