Manchester Airport has been hit by a 'baggage issue' - leaving some passengers without luggage when arriving abroad.
The issue is currently affecting Terminal 2. There is a problem with the baggage handling system that processes bags being checked-in, the airport said.
Some passengers have reported flying from Manchester Airport and landing at their destination to find their bags had not arrived. Lydia tweeted: "@manairport can you advise as to where all the bags that are missing off flight TOM574 to Antalya will arrive? My daughters clothes are all missing. @TUIUK please assist also."

Vikki also tweeted: "Should have gone with gut feel and packed into hand luggage.. #TUI & ground staff must have known 40+ bags left in Manchester on our flight alone. Avoid #manairport."
Airport bosses apologised for the inconvenience and said teams are 'working quickly' to fix the problem. Passengers are being advised to arrive at the airport as normal.
A Manchester Airport spokesperson said: "We’re aware of an issue affecting the baggage handling system that handles bags being checked-in in Terminal 2 and are working quickly to fix it. We apologise for any inconvenience.
"Our resilience team has been deployed to minimise the impact on passengers and as a result operations around check-in and security are running normally. Our advice to passengers planning to travel today is to arrive at the airport as normal in line with their airline’s instructions."
