Long-haul flights are known for being incredibly uncomfortable. While you're usually jetting off to a luxury occasion, the cramped seating tends to dampen spirits a little.
In addition, an annoying passenger sitting in close proximity can make the lengthy commute incredibly miserable.
Taking annoying passengers to a new extreme, one woman, who suffers from allergies, was shocked by the audacity of one passenger who selfishly coated herself with perfume.
Sharing her story on popular forum site Reddit in response to a thread of a woman painting her nails on a three-hour flight, the woman detailed the jaw-dropping saga in the comment section.
She explained: "I flew to Australia, a 16-hour flight. As we got near the end the woman in front of me started spraying perfume on herself but over her so it would 'land on her'.
"I leaned forward and asked her to stop spraying me with perfume because I have an allergy that can cause my throat to swell shut and can be kicked off by things like perfume.
"She said no and brought the bottle back up and I asked her again to please go to the bathroom or something but not to spray it so it landed on me. She intentionally shot the perfume at me, at my face, so I took it.
"The last 45 min of the flight were fun! I was trying not to choke. She was screaming, flight attendants were swarming. They moved me further up toward the front of the plane.
"She was angry that I got a better seat. I still wouldn't give it back. I told her I'd return it when the plane landed (and I did). She yelled the entire time," the woman added.
Finding justice in the situation, the anonymous user wrote: "I was ok. I got to REALLY p*** off an a**hole. I got a better seat for an hour. I was good."
In response to the post, Reddit users flocked to the comment section to discuss the shocking claim.
Praising the woman for her chilled response, one person said: "You handled it perfectly. No violence. She can't claim you need to buy her another bottle of perfume either."
Meanwhile, someone else said: "I think they handled it perfectly, they confiscated the item like a mother would a naughty child."
