Passengers have been left irate and out of pocket after being fined for not meeting airlines' hand luggage rules, despite their bags fitting into the sizing rack at check-in.
For anyone who has travelled through a UK airport, the anxiety of nearing the check-in desk with a slightly bulky carry-on will be familiar.
A similar concern may now be felt by Frontier Airlines passengers after staff were seen strictly enforcing the rules.
In a video of the check-in posted on Tiktok, @cubsracingsociety explains that the US airline's workers were checking every piece of hand luggage before passengers boarded.
The TikToker said that everyone whose bag was found not to fit the rack was fined.
He said: "Frontier is checking everyone's bags to make sure they fit in the little box.
"If it doesn't fit, then you have to pay $100 (£84).
"It's dumb because you're going to carry the bag on the plane anyways, you just have to pay if it's a few inches bigger."
The clip then jumps to a passenger sliding his bag into the size checker, only to be fined for "shoving" it in.
"This guy barely used any force at all and he was still forced to pay $100 and give an apology to the gate agent," the content creator continued.
Later in the video a passenger is seen being shouted at by a member of Frontier staff who says he has "embarrassed" a check -in agent.
Frontier has been contacted for comment.
In the UK different airlines have different hand luggage allowances, with TUI, easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways all having their own policies.

One older man was seen recently taking matters into his own hands at the check-in desk.
In the clip people can be seen queueing to show their boarding passes and passports before heading onto the plane.
The elderly traveller is filmed wandering past the desk at ease, clasping a code-compliant bag in his right hand.
Unknown to the airport staff who are checking his documents, a second bag - a rucksack - is on his back, hidden beneath a blue jumper.
