Partick Thistle are keen to do a deal to bring in Aidan Fitzpatrick but the deal hinges on one major factor, according to a report.
The 21-year-old has been back training with his former club as they continue preparations ahead of the new season. The Jags return to competitive action in early July as they get their Premier Sports Cup campaign underway. They've already been back in pre-season action with plans well underway.
Ian McCall has added fresh faces already this summer and has other targets in mind and the Daily Record report Fitzpatrick is one of those but any potential deal hinges on Queen of the South holding out for compensation. He played for the Doonhamers last season and due to his age the Scottish League One outfit are entitled to cash.

Thistle are not prepared to pay a fee and will only sanction a return for their former star on a free transfer.
The player also only moved to Palmerston Park last term due to an agreement with former boss Allan Johnston that he wouldn't stand in his way if the opportunity to step back up the ranks came up again.
The likes of Harry Milne, Anton Dowds and club hero Steven Lawless have already joined the Firhill ranks this summer as has Aaron Muirhead, Jack McMillan and David Mitchell.
McCall and Co get back into action on July 9 as they travel to face Stenhousemuir.
They then travel to Kilmarnock before back-to-back home games with Fraserburgh and Montrose.
Dundee away is the first Scottish Championship outing on July 30.
